Jonathan set apart as a missionary...

This evening Jonathan was set apart as a full-time missionary by our Stake President, Mark Jensen. Jonathan was fortunate to have his parents, brother and sister, and both sets of grandparents in attendance at the Stake Center.


Pres. Jensen gave him some excellent advice and counsel. He challenged him to serve each day so that when he returns home he will KNOW that "his service was acceptable to the Lord".

He also had him promise to write his mother every week!

Jonathan's Farewell...

Today was Jonathan's farewell. It was wonderful to have so many family and friends come to support him. Michael was the youth speaker and it was nice to have them speak together. A member of our ward came up afterwards and said that they had "no idea how funny Jon was!" Both did a great job and were very glad when the meeting was over. Here are PDF copies of their talks:

Following the meeting we had a picnic at Elk Ridge Park in North Logan. It was a great day!
